Moon Crystal (Famicom/NES?)
This is going to be an interesting game to talk about. The game is Moon Crystal. It was originally for the Famicom which is the Japanese counterpart of the NES. It was made by a Japanese video game company called Hect. Apparently, it was going to be released in America on the NES but it never came through. However, with emulation, Moon Crystal has been translated to English by fans since originally, the text was mostly in Japanese. Also, most NES emulators can run the rom as well. Well, with that said, here is the review.
Note: I know emulation is tabooed by some but this game is only available in English through emulation. For those who don't get it, I am an English speaker so even if I myself got my hands on it physically, it still would be an issue to understand it since I don't know how to read or speak Japanese. Keep that is mind before you decide to look down on me for emulating it. Besides, the NES and Famicom are both obsolet
TRGXD's game reviews ep1: Jazz JackrabbitTRGXD's game reviews ep1: Jazz Jackrabbit by TheRandomGirlXD
Jazz Jackrabbit is one of those pc games you can not live with out
Released in 1994, jazz jackrabbit is known for being one of the best pc games of all time. Is that true you may ask? Well I am here to review it so ya (I mean please did u not see the title of this review LOL?)
When you turn on the game it shows a little cute cut scene of Jazz and BAM!!! Just like that your in the title screen. There so much to do already but I'm only going to tell you the basics . This guy known as Devan Shell begins conquering planets, suppressing any native confrontation. One of such planets, Carrotus (mmm carrots), is home to a peaceful hare kingdom that, once confronted by Shell, is able to provide enough resistance to fend him off. Enraged by his loss, Devan decides to kidnap Carrotus princess Eva Earlong and hide her on a distant airbase of unknown location to weaken the hares. In response, the king chooses to send Carrotus' hero Jazz Jackrabbit, who carries a blue LFG-2000 gun, to various planet
TRGXD's 1st look review: DK tropical freezeTRGXD's 1st look review: DK tropical freeze by TheRandomGirlXD
So, winter is slowly leaving and soon it will be summer. So I thought it will be the perfect chance to talk about DK tropical freeze. This game will be similar to the wii and 3ds version ( I think ) It's going to be in stores in a week or so but I'll just look at what we got so far.
This DK game will have DK, Diddy kong, Dixie kong, and cranky kong as playable characters ( but Diddy Dixie and Cranky will mostly be your side kicks if this game will be similar to the wii/3ds version). The levels I got to look at were pretty cool. The colors are used nicely and over all and it looks like a good game ( I just hope it won't be so hard like the wii/3ds version). I'm going to say the pros of the game first than a rate
~looks like good game play
~different side kicks
~awesome bad guys
Their is really nothing else to say about this until I get the game. I saw the commercial and I think this game will be
Video Game Emulation SourcesRecommended Video Game Emulation Resources for the PCVideo Game Emulation Sources by Neocasko
This is an introductory list of resources to emulate video game systems on a PC to play games normally on that system. I am assuming you are using a PC to do this. I myself do not use emulators outside of the PC so no Macs or emulation on other devices. You will have to look at the websites I show and do some web searching to do all that as that is not my "area of expertise". I will also not add any links to this guide. Remember, Google is your friend (and/or most other search engines).
So here are some systems you can easily emulate on a PC and emulators for the systems.
NES (Nintendo Entertainment System):
Nestopia and FCEUX are two emulators I recommend. They both emulate the NES well (and the Famicom too which is basically the Japanese counterpart of the system). They also have a nice range of features to look at. You will have to look for yourself and see which one you like better as I find both of them do their job equally wel
